I included some photos of feathers in my post about Thanksgiving table settings, but I have more examples to share. Pheasant feathers have wonderful color and texture and look fabulous in a flower arrangement. They can stand alone in an old silver trophy or create contrast when paired with crystals or orchids - the rustic with the refined. Plumage adds sophistication and fun to fashion in the form of feathered handbags and fascinators. Wallcoverings, china - even lampshades - can be fair game if you are looking for ways to feather your nest . . .

" 'I love the amazing colors, textures, and silhouettes of pheasant feathers, especially against the antler and tigerwood twigs. Best of all, it will last through winter because it doesn't need water!' " Torryne Choate, Floral Designer.

" 'I love feathers. Each one is completely different, like a fingerprint, glistening, wildly articulated, and full of movement. These feathers are a faithful yet exaggerated expression of the real thing. For me, they represent a sense of fragility that has a deep underpinning of strength and resilience.' " - Michael Aram.
